Meta Monday – Xenan Brushstalker

Hello and welcome to another Meta Monday, the first video we have for you today isn’t quite a force in the meta but it is an iteration on Alarmadillos Xenan Killers list.

Recently Snapping Brushstalker was buffed to be a 5/5 and this is interesting for a few times as now not only does it rebuy dawnwalkers forever but it is also immune to Auric Runehammer. The interesting part of this deck is that it is truly a killers deck, you get to Twilight Hunt or Xenan Initiation your Brushstalker and if your opponent is trying to interact with removal spells you get to keep replaying your Snapper, Of course you can get tempo’d out with do nothing spells like Strategize and Seek Power but you have so many other threats in your deck that are must answer that you should be able to force your opponent onto the back foot where they don’t have the time to spend messing about with spells that don’t impact the board.
We are also really grindy here too as is expected of the archetype and Snapper should really help you to rebuild from Harsh Rule decks as now you have the built in way to recur your Dawnwalkers and don’t need to draw something off the top. The Killer effects in this deck can make you feel like you brought a machine gun to a sword-fight. I don’t think this list is perfect and I’d like to iterate upon it further perhaps adding some more two or four drops but I did cut the sandstorm titans here so that I could really see how good Snapper was though it’s probably correct to play some number of each.
I did record a few other videos this week though, the first one being one of the early iterations of the Svetya, Bear Mom TJP beatdown deck which was only a few cards off the lists in the ETS top 8 this weekend.
