Owl Control

This Owl Control deck is a fantastic control deck. It goes over the top of most other control variants with the insane amount of draw that it has. Aid of the Hooru and A New Tomorrow are both insane cards. A lot of folks might not consider A New Tomorrow a draw card or see it as worthy of inclusion but I assure you, spending 10 Power to cast this card so that next turn you can play Aid of the Hooru and Channel the Tempest in the same turn is one of the best feelings in this game. In addition to having tons and tons of power to work with, A New Tomorrow obviously synergizes very well with The Great Parliament.

This list is from the Top 8 of the ETS Season 3 Week 1 and I was actively rooting against it as the Hooru Control player. This deck goes way over the top of my deck and would’ve been an uphill battle for me. Probably the worst matchup out of the Top 8. If you’re looking to win the late game, this would be a fantastic place to start — even now with The Fall of Argenport officially here. Au Revoir!

Come find me on stream sometime at twitch.tv/ThePlatypusKing where I stream every day — generally from 1pm – 7pm Pacific. Subscribe or join my Patreon and I’ll play your brew. Maybe I’ll even end up turning it into a video article on this very website!
