The Trials of Grodov have, fittingly, been very trying for me. I don’t want to be all doom and gloom, but I am extremely underwhelmed by this set. While more cards are good (even if they’re medium at best), it’s still heart breaking when the new cards just don’t excite you. I believe some cards have potential in becoming relevant as time goes on and more cards end up existing but that doesn’t help me, or us, today. I spent
Mantid Man makes his triumphant return after moving from coast to coast. We dicuss the Market Master tournament results and kind of hit all over the place with a myriad of discussion about the Fall of Argenport and the cards within it! This is a fairly traditional Stonescar aggro list featuring Blackhall Warleader which is much better than it looks. I’m a big fan of the card. I accidentally overslept the tournament. If I hadn’t, my teammate Aetherllama wouldn’t have won this tournament. I think this Oni Ronin is very well positioned. Try it out and win the game. We literally played the Ixtun Merchant because it was a stipulaton of the stream. Unsure if it it’s a card we should play
Set 4: The Fall of Argenport is finally here! My plan for this first week or so of the set is to bring y’all a brand new video every single day of the week or close to it! My first deck is a Radiant and Wisp based synergy deck. You have Xenan Cultist as your Void Drummer impersonator and Memory Dredger as Soulbringer‘s 5-6. Your main removal suite is recurring either Pathlighter or Nocturnal Creeper after hitting them with Xenan
This Owl Control deck is a fantastic control deck. It goes over the top of most other control variants with the insane amount of draw that it has. Aid of the Hooru and A New Tomorrow are both insane cards. A lot of folks might not consider A New Tomorrow a draw card or see it as worthy of inclusion but I assure you, spending 10 Power to cast this card so that next turn you can play Aid of
We are deep in the spoiler season ready for next weeks release and every day we get another piece of candy. I’m not ‘fraid of no cavities – spoil me away! Today I got my spoiler and I think this is a spicy one with applications in both draft and ranked ladder play in a few currently unseen brews. So lets pull the band aid off so I can get to the juicy stuff. Alchemists Concoction, is everything I like
Another week. Another deck. This week we have a much more serious list than last while still a bit on the meme side. First, this deck is a blast to play. I played Blackhaven on my stream twice while he was on this list — the first time he was Rank 1, the second time he was Rank 2. We split the games and he reclaimed Rank 1 off of me where he still sits at the time of writing.
